Overview

Peptocol ("the App") is developed by Iron Canyon Ventures LLC. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the app and the Peptocol website collect, use, and protect your information. Local app records and website analytics are separate.

Data Collection

All health and protocol data you enter into Peptocol is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your personal health data to external servers unless you choose to export or share it outside the app.

Apple HealthKit

With your permission, Peptocol may read step count, walking distance, active energy, flights climbed, workout data, and body mass from Apple HealthKit. Read data is used on your device for app metrics and, when available, an editable weight suggestion in check-in. Peptocol does not send Apple Health data to its analytics services. If you choose to export or share records containing a saved weight entry, that copy goes to the destination you choose.

Analytics

Peptocol may collect limited analytics through PostHog to understand app reliability, product interactions, and subscription flows. These analytics may include app version, build number, platform, a random app or install identifier, screen or feature interaction events, paywall and product loading events, plan selection, purchase start, purchase success, restore, cancellation, subscription status, and diagnostic or error event categories.

These analytics are used for app functionality and analytics, such as verifying access, finding reliability problems, and improving the product. They are not used for tracking you across other apps or websites, and they are not linked to your name, email address, or account because Peptocol does not require an account system for your tracking data. Peptocol does not send your protocol details, dose history, symptoms, weight entries, notes, provider records, progress photos, or Apple Health data in analytics events.

Website Analytics

The Peptocol website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and App Store link clicks. Google Analytics may use cookies and browser identifiers and process information such as the pages visited, referral sources, device and browser information, and link interactions. This website measurement is separate from PostHog analytics in the app. Your local app records and Apple Health data are not provided to Google Analytics by Peptocol.

Third-Party Services

Peptocol uses PostHog to process the limited analytics described above. We do not sell personal data and do not integrate with advertising networks or data brokers.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Peptocol receives the subscription status and purchase or restore results needed to unlock Pro features and maintain access, while Apple processes payment information under Apple's own policies.

Data Security

Your data is stored locally in the app's on-device storage. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock for additional protection.

Data Deletion

Removing the app deletes its local tracking records from that installation. It does not cancel an Apple subscription, delete exported copies, or automatically delete analytics already processed by PostHog or Google. Device backups may contain separate copies subject to your Apple backup settings. Contact hello@peptocol.com with privacy or analytics deletion questions.

Adult Users

Peptocol is designed for adults and is rated 16+ on the App Store. The app does not require an email signup for your tracking data and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
